{FAN} #4 The Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon~Mary Pope Osborne {Review}

Jack and Annie go inside Pirates of the Caribbean and have to try to get away from pirates.

The fourth book in each arc usually lacks because the story inside the book they teleported in has to be cut short in order to make room at the end of the book for the arc conclusion. This is the case here as the story feels very rushed. However, the book makes up for it somewhat by having the most imminent danger of the first four books. Things feel the most tense.

The pirate names are too goofy; Stinky, Pinky, Cap’n Bones. Come on. Make the names at least mildly more menacing.

Jack is faced with a sort of moral decision in this book, and it was interesting seeing another side of him.

Should you read it?:

This is my second favorite of The Mystery of the Magic Tree House arc. The story is intense, and it has the most action.
